KHE CHAM COAL MINE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Construction items: Executing and concreting pits level at -300: Quantity: the length of pit is 1.430 meters; the quantity of concreting is 7150 m3. Executing of pits which are preparing to product in 2015: Upper transportation pit level at -90 -:- +25: Quantity: the length is 825 meters; the quantity of concreting is 1.200 m3

CAVICO CMS (now CMH Group) under Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) was assigned to execute the tunnel and station platform level 300 at Khe Cham Coal Mine, Mong Duong, Quang Ninh with the total construction length of 2970 meters and 14.000 m3 of concrete.

In this place, Cavico CMS applied the mechanical technology into pouring concrete instead of manual method, which was being used widely in almost coalmines of Vinacomin. The strength of this technology was to increase the construction schedule improve the concrete quality, shorten the basic construction and bring the work into use soon. With the experience obtained from the hydropower projects, CMS bravely made great investment in tunnel concreting system consisting of: concrete batching plant, concrete truck, concrete pumps, formworks etc.

Highly appreciating the CMS capacity, Investor completed the tunnel excavation plan in 2012 and assigned a great volume to CMS in the following years. The success of the project opened a large market of coalmine tunnel construction of Vinacomin. In addition, CMS would continue to co-operate with Vinacomin in the items of tunnel excavation that had ever been implemented successfully in Tan Lap Coal Project.
