Buon Kuop Hydropower Project had a capacity of 280 KWh with two parallel tunnels and 02 generator groups.

Commenced on January 21st 2003, Buon Kuop Hydropower’s nodal route consisted of main dams and overflow dam arranged on Serepok river; the energy route included water intake gate, water tunnel, surge tank, pressure pipes, plant – discharge cannels and distribution station of 220/110KV.

Participated in the project, CMVietnam (now CMH Group) executed the whole drilling and reinforcement work for two water tunnel with the value of 20 billion dong. The employees’ effort, the company completed the water tunnel no 2 in accordance with the right schedule at the end of February 2009 to bring the machine group 2 into operation on the last days of March and first days of April 2009.

After having completed and brought into use, the work created the supply for national electric grid with the average electricity of 1,4 billion KWh/year; in addition, the work also undertook the mission of water regulation and supply for downstream and stabilizing the people life in the area, creating the landscape for the development of tourism, transportation and aquatic products.
